Flying to South Africa for a holiday?
Flying to South Africa for a holiday? Then check out the latest deals on flights to Cape Town, Durban, Johannesburg and Port Elizabeth with British Airways. BA have been in the business for over 90 years and over the decades have earned a reputation for reliability and excellent customer service. Though probably not the cheapest airline in the skies at the moment, if you want to get to your destination on time and in comfort, make sure BA is on your list of possible options.
In order to make life as easy as possible for you and to reduce waiting times at the airport, BA offer a number of convenient check-in options. You can check in online at ba.com up to one hour before your flight takes off; from a mobile phone if you have internet access; at one of BA’s self serve check-in desks at the airport, and of course at the BA desk itself. Choose the option that suits you best, just bear in mind that check-in closes 45 minutes before flight departures from Gatwick or Heathrow and unfortunately there’s no flexibility on this. If you miss the check-in deadline then you won’t be able to get on the flight, so save yourself the worry and hassle by doing it all before you head to the airport.
In terms of pricing, BA offer a number of options to suit every budget, from Economy right through to First Class, so even if you’re on a shoe string you should be able to find an affordable flight to South Africa. Economy on long haul flights is known as World Traveller, and on short haul trips it’s called Euro Traveller. The service offered is a cut above what you’d get with a ‘no frills’ airline as they offer complimentary food and drinks on all their flights and seats are comfortable and roomy. However, if you can afford it, it’s well worth spending that little bit more for Premium Economy Class as the added extras make all the difference on a long haul flight.
Premium Economy is a private cabin with a maximum of five rows meaning you have more leg room and more room to spread yourself out in your seat. Complimentary extras include a newspaper, cushion, blanket and a handy little kit containing a tooth brush, tooth paste, flight socks and an eye mask. You’ll get a three course meal for breakfast, lunch or dinner depending on the time of day and if you have any special dietary requirements, you can let the crew know ahead of your flight by going to the ‘Manage my Booking’ section on the website.
For a real treat, nothing beats flying First Class with BA. From complimentary well being products that will help keep you fresh on the flight, to the Egyptian cotton duvets that are provided on every fully flat bed, the whole experience is enjoyable and relaxing from the moment the plane takes off.
