Flying to South Africa with Virgin Atlantic
Whether you’re flying to South Africa for the safari trip of a lifetime, to spend time catching up with family and friends, or to support your team at the 2010 World Cup, Virgin Atlantic will get you there in comfort and style. Over the years the airline has built up a well deserved reputation for quality service both on the ground and in the air, and their focus on safety, security and passenger comfort have ensured they are now one of the top long haul carriers in the business.
As you’d expect, flights will range in price depending on when you book and also the cabin you’d like to fly in. Virgin Atlantic offer three cabin choices – the budget option Economy Class, Premium Economy and the super luxurious Upper Class Suite, which is one of the most comfortable Business Class cabins of any airline.
Economy is certainly a cut above the rest as all meals are complimentary and there’s even a free bar service. And if you have any specific dietary requirements just give them a heads up in advance and a special meal can usually be arranged for you. All seats in Economy have their own seatback TV and they’re fitted with adjustable headrests, lumbar supports and moveable armrests to ensure your journey is as comfortable as possible.
Premium Economy is the next class up from Economy and is all about extra space, something you’ll be particularly glad of on a long haul flight. The seats have an increased width of 21 inches, which is the same as Business Class in some other airlines, and all seats include laptop power outlets so you can get some work done or enjoy your own in-flight entertainment if the choice of movie doesn’t suit you. Premium Economy also gives you a bit more variety when it comes to your food as you can choose from a menu of three meals and enjoy pre and after dinner drinks as well.
If you really feel like splashing out, then flying in the Upper Class Suite is definitely the way to go. This cabin boasts an exclusive on board bar and some of the longest fully flat beds of any Business Class flight. Every seat is fitted with a power outlet for your laptop and a big table so you can spread yourself out as you work, and all seats have aisle access as well which means you don’t have to clamber over anyone if you need to get out of your seat to stretch your legs. Needless to say, the menu is a lot more varied and your 10.4” TV screen will make watching in-flight movies all the more enjoyable.
Whatever option you choose when flying with Virgin Atlantic, you can be sure you’ll be well taken care of. The cabin crew are some of the best in the business and they’ll do all they can to make sure your flight is a comfortable one. All you have to do is sit back, relax and enjoy the flight.
